Heads up all you Fargoans, W is coming to Fargo on Thursday. Detials to still be announced, but expect tight restrictions to get in. This is part of his nationwide push to get Democratic Senators up for reelection in 2006 out.

4. Say it with me......
...... Blizzard.

I hope God herself drops the hammer on that day. bush gets separated from his
handlers and he wonders off in to some wheat field w/ a white out and a wind chill .......

Nature would take care of the rest. Maybe he could lick a frozen pump handle from
a well out on the prairie.

Headline "Blizzard kills bush: but cattle and bison ride out storm in fine shape."

6. Y'all still got that chipper, shredder, body disposer thingie left
over from the movie? If so, keep G.W. away from it, first of all he'll wanna play with it, and you know how he is around machinery- and then if he don't cut off his damn arm or sumthin he'll have that Gonzalez fella writin' a memo about how useful it'd be to the war on terror. So if ya got it, hide it.

Better, moderator?

7. Demonstration Planned for Thursday's Bush Event
Edited on Sat Jan-29-05 06:12 PM by likeafeather54
As you already know, President Bush will be visiting Fargo on Thursday (2/3) to promote the privatization of Social Security. Obviously, for many reasons, this is a terrible idea.

Accordingly, a demonstration is being planned to coincide with Thursday's event to protest the privatization of Social Security, in addition to numerous other issues (Iraq, No Child Left Behind, Women's Rights, LGBT discrimination, etc).

There will be an organizational meeting on Tuesday(2/1) at 7pm at Cass County Democratic HQ (1137 19th Av N, Fargo)as the location and time of the event will be released sometime that day. If you cannot attend the meeting but can attend the demonstration, email me at [email protected] and I will keep you posted. We are hoping for a large turnout, so spread the word ASAP! Thanks.

- Annie

13. Protest Details from Barret's ND Dem Yahoo List

Ok here are the details of the Anti-Bush rally. Bush will be
speaking at 11:45 at the Bison Sports Arena on the campus of NDSU.
NATIONAL media will be present, and I think its important for his
first Social Security overhaul push (in Frago) to have lots of
protesters!

Annie Krapu and I have been working with the North Dakota
Progressive Coalition and other groups around ND to set this up.
Here are the details

Meet at 9 AM, at the Federal building downtown Fargo, on Thursday,
as we will get National Media and local media, and than walk up to
the campus of NDSU, which is 10 blocks. If you can not march with
everyone, it is ok, we want a strong showing at the Federal Building.

18. How to get there
The Post Office (Federal) Building is at the corner of 2nd Ave N and Roberts St. Highway 10 crosses the river and turns into NP. This becomes one way in a few blocks. When you get to the one-way split, turn right (north). Take the next left (weest) and cross Broadway to get to Roberts St. Take a right (north) again and you'll be there in one block.
