Farheen Hakeem Signed Letter of Support for of Corrupt Councilman

Nearly a year ago, the Green Party candidate for Neva Walker's House seat (16B) signed a letter of support for Gary Dean Zimmermann:

These are some statements from that letter:

"We are convinced that Dean is innocent of the crime of bribery"

"we stand in support of an honest man"

"We miss Dean's leadership on the Minneapolis City
Council."

"Dean Zimmermann is a political prisoner"

Farheen Hakeem also has Zimmermann's picture (far left) on her website:

Farheen Hakeem's pal Zimmermann was perhaps the most corrupt, greedy person ever to have held office in Minneapolis. Zimmermann was caught on tape taking cash from a developer (who volunteered to do us all a favor and catch Zimmermann in the act).

Zimmermann lost his appeal last month. The 8th Circuit Court unanimously upheld the jury's verdict.

Where does Farheen Hakeem or any member of the Green Party get off lecturing Democrats about corruption and greed?

2. wow...flashback

i met farheen at the U through a friend in my research group. just a personal opinion here, but farheen is a bit odd. she tried to convince my friend (from india) that some of us in the group were a bunch of racists and to stop hanging out with us. she even found my email address and told me as much. considering that our dept. was very diverse and most of us were good friends, it turned into kind of joke for us. we were glad when she finally stop harassing us though.

3. Hakeem is going to caucus DFL on 3-5 according to this story:

Hakeem informed Southside Pride that she will be caucusing with the DFL party on Feb. 5, and she wrote in an e-mail that she will be “promoting a ‘no endorsement’ for 61B.”

At the caucus "When you sign in, you are stating that you agree with DFL Party principles and that you intend to support Democratic candidates in the coming election."

So is Hakeem joining the DFL for good or just lieing to tamper with our nomination process?
