Connecting the networks of criminal conspiracies project
Without any further ado, Illinois, here's some facts for researchers to build on.

Chicago Bear Sterns office was "managed" by indicted GOP Tommy Thompson mob connected lobbyist Peter Nicholas Hurtgen. His wife is Catherine Prange Hurtgen, the sister of Phillip Prange. Tommy Thompson was an usher at the wedding of the Hurtgens, an indication of how well connected they are.

Tommy Thompson's political campaigning and other major political functionary is James P. Klauser who mentored Hurtgen and Brandon Schloz.

Brandon Schloz is head of the Wisconsin Grocers Association, and involved in the gaming industry and tobacco interests for many years. His legal lobbying partner is Michelle Kussow.

Susan Bonzon Ralston is married to Troy Alan Ralston. That's Troy Alan Ralston of DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management. Susan Bonzon Ralston got her Bachelor's degree at Loyola, and lived in Chicago for many years.

Of course Leo Strauss worked out of the University of Chicago and ideologically influenced all of the people mentioned so far.

Chicago ex-Congressman, Morgan Murphy Jr. was the founder of Nii Jii Entertainment and links to Stuart Levine and Peter Nicholas Hurtgen of the Bear Sterns Chicago office as well as the Abramoff Indian gaming industry lobby crimes.

Tommy Thompson's recent business venture into radio media as Chairman of The Armada Media Corporation began with the purchase of the Aberdeen Radio Farm in South Dakota-this was held up by the FCC because of the involvement of Bear Sterns executives and their indictments (Hurtgen/Levine).

That's enough for researchers in Illinois to begin with, just connect the networks of these criminal conspirators via your own methodologies and "confidential" resources and post them here or in other forums.

1. Corrupt big scary networks-fear doesn't work in a democracy.
Today there is no more room for corruption.

2. anyone researching that also utilizes the geographical approach
(not exclusively mind you) let's not forget that Donald Rumsfeld was a business executive for years based in Chicago.

This is a fruitful approach as it also mirrors the geo-political aspect so valued by some of our opposition.

3. Don't forget Karl Rove
He got his start in political organizing right here.

http://bnfp.org/neighborhood/Lemann_Rove_NYM.htm

The story of Edgeworth and Rove is a well-burnished legend within a very small circle-well burnished enough that just saying "Lake of the Ozarks" is enough to evoke it. The circle is made up, of people connected with College Republicans, a group tight enough (it became an independent organization in 1971) that all its significant figures at least know one another's names. Theirs is a subculture that took form in the mid- to late sixties, at a time when what was officially going on in the United States was a great uprising of rebellious youth and a flowering of liberal politics. The College Republicans were young people who believed that the coming thing was a resurgence of the political right. They felt this so strongly, and loved politics so much, that they devoted a ruthless, all-consuming effort to gaining advantage in a small student organization that today seems a little eccentric. The history of College Republicans is like that of a left-wing group, full of coups and counter-coups and intrigue. And the most College Republican of College Republicans was Karl Rove.

Rove had come out of nowhere-to be specific, Utah, from a nonpolitical and not very well-established family that he didn't talk about much. As a seventeen-year-old, Rove made the leap beyond high-school politics by volunteering in a United States Senate campaign. In 1969, at the University of Utah, he signed up for the College Republicans, and showed enough promise that the organization dispatched him to Illinois the following year to work as a campus organizer in the unsuccessful United States Senate campaign of Ralph Tyler Smith, who had been appointed to the seat of the Senate's Republican leader, Everett McKinley Dirksen, after Dirksen died. This amounted to hitting the big time, because Illinois was the most active College Republican state. In 1971, Rove became a protege of Joe Abate, the College Republican chairman, who hired him as the organization's national executive director, a position that paid very modestly.

4. Thanks, NN. This geo-political avenue of research is useful.
The Tommy Thompson gang has lots of hideouts for the BFEE that are quite well known to the "peasants" here in Wisconsin, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and just over the borders of Iowa, Minnesota and the Great State of Illinois.

For some unspecified reason Wisconsin is now the center of RNC "campaign" $$$, simultaneous to many resignations and revelations about corruption and "leadership" ethics scandals.

FWIW, I really like the Chicago Blues above all other styles, it's the electric thing!

6. Tommy Thompson will be "helping" Rep. US Cong.Mark Green
in his failing campaign for Wisconsin Governor (I believe Thompson's mob has been "helping" Green all along)

8. Shimkus -
is still up around 15 points in the polls. Our Democratic candidate, Dan Stover, simply does not have the funds. The majority of voters in this area are basically and simply uninformed - it's quite pathetic.

9. Yeah, you can't give a crash course on corruption to uninformed people.
In solidarity,
Bob

10. Crimes have been committed in the outing of Valerie Plame Wilson's covert identity.
Some of the people mentioned in this thread were part of that.

Who can add to this today, in the context of the crimes that were committed not only in the outing of Mrs. Wilson's identity-but in other areas like the US Attorney's scandal and the Walter Reed subcontractors case???

It is time for transparency.
