I guess America' Press is waking up after their first date with McCain/Palin. The bounce for McCain/Palin was great, "it was a wild ride" for the woman. It gave McCain some breathing room after the DNC....whose closing night could be seen from space. Yet, now the McCain/Palin ticket is getting some closer looks. Finally, the National Press is doing their damn job: reporting on something more than Palin’s plumbing, small town origins, and family values.

When we look at the top 10 newspapers, by circulation, in America we see the following:
USAToday, on the web page has how Palin "blurred the line between government and personal grievance. Now USAToday is not the cornerstone of liberal politics. In USAToday’s next story, under the "blurred" story, the paper reports how Obama is pointing out how McCain/Palin lied about the Iraq trip. Not a good news cycle for the Unstable/Unable team
Wall Street Journal, another not so liberal paper, has leading campaign stories which should scare the old guy and the soccer mom. The lead offs are McCain Draws Fire Over Reform Claim, Panel Votes to Subpoena Palin’s Husband, a story about Palin’s jaunt with Gibson...which makes her look a little out to lunch, and how McCain Trails in Key States.
NYTimes....above the fold they are slamming Unstable/Unable. Yet, that liberal rag usually can get their act together. Even if their editorial board chose McCain from the Rep. Contenders they have been beating him like a baby seal for weeks....no surprises there.
The LA Times, in their politics page has a list of not so flattering reports for "them." The big story is about "Shading - - or ignoring - - truth on the campaign trail." Basically, a story of McCain’s inability to give us "straight talk." Then there is a little doodaad about how McCain’s people have been "over reporting" the size of their rally crowds. Ooops. It just slides down from there with stories about Palin’s earmarks, Palin’s husband getting a that little piece of paper called a "subpoena," and how "the View" took McCain to task on lying.
