I can not verify it, but I thought it was interesting. I have kids who now live in Dallas/Ft. Worth, and they are seeing an upsurge against Bush in people who adored him earlier. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Precinct 4456 Ridglea North Neighborhood Association Fort Worth, Texas Stanley Stone, President Jerry Lobdill political activist, philosopher, and Dean Organizer
Howard Dean, Democrat for President won Precinct 4456 in Fort Worth, Texas by a landslide over John Kerry, who finished a distant second place. Dean took the precinct by a margin of 40 percentage points in the caucus tonight.
The organizers said that they had simply done their homework and laid out the Governor's platform and people flocked to the cause. Dean smoked Kerry by taking 70% of the delegates.
Jerry Lobdill, Permanent Precinct Convention Chair, said that it was a little harder than expected to get out the vote under the circumstances, but he said that taking five of the seven delegate slots to the Senatorial District convention was a satisfying victory after all the difficulties engineered by the DLC and the Republicans against Dr. Dean in recent months.
Lobdill said that the Dean delegates rammed through ten resolutions that will proceed forward in the Party convention process. The resolutions embody the soul of Dean's platform in all issue areas. Lobdill said, "If we can't have our candidate we'll fight for his platform all the way to Boston.
"So Howard, this one's for you, Bud!!! Now let's put the W back in Crawford!" xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I know, I know, it does not mean anything, but it is nice that it happened.
