Nader - from folk hero to joke
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 02:28 PM by LVZ
So Ralph Nader's de-evolution from hero to joke may continue ... slipping into the dustbin of irrelevancy.

In 2000 Nader got 2.4% of the vote.

In 2004 Nader got 0.38% of the vote.

If the trend continues, Nader will get fewer votes than the "oops, I pressed the wrong button" party.

Ralph Nader is becoming nothing more than a common "attention whore".

1. By my calculations ...
he'll owe 1.64% of the 2008 votes.

2. He has proved himself to be no more believable than the Repukes he emulates
And people really were swayed by his bullshit in 2000. He's nothing more than a cranky old bitch.

3. Actually, I think it's a better strategy for him
Just count on people accidentally voting for you.

Not many left who will do it on purpose.

5. ... reality be damned ...
I really get tired of Nader-apologists saying stuff like "Ralph is running on principles and not to be the most popular guy."

How is this "real world consequences and reality be damned" attitude any different from the disastrous arrogance of George W. Bush other than presumed IQ level?

Today's Ralph Nader is so out-of-touch that even Michael Moore publicly pleaded with him to stay out of the 2004 Presidential contest. Nader did great things in his early career but what practical results has he achieved for the world since the 1980's?

6. Nader was a fraud in the 60's and a fool now
I OWNED a Corvair, never had a problem with it. Nader just wanted attention for himself when the General was trying to do a better car.
