She has been a GREAT Senator.

4. My neighbors and friends are Hillary all the way...
except for one guy with a Giulianni bumper sticker (guess he's now for McCain).

I honestly don't know anyone on my block without a college degree. I'm guessing that Obama doesn't have ALL of the "educated" voters here in New Jersey.

5. I'm not a New Yorker, but we contributed a substantial amount to her campaign in 2000
I'm not a New Yorker, but Mr. Tesha and I contributed
a substantial amount to her campaign in 2000 so I think
I've earned a vote.

And it is precisely because of her voting record since
her election to the Senate that she will *NEVER* receive
another vote or another dime from me.

6. Yeah, she got the anti-VRWC vote from me once.
("vast right-wing conspiracy). I enjoyed putting it to the rabid punditocracy with a vote for Clinton back then, but once is all she's good for, given how she has only enabled all the things she supposedly stands against since.

7. I voted for Clinton in 2000 (under the Working Families Party banner)
I am certainly satisfied with her performance, but I don't live in new York anymore.

She's an excellent Senator and would make an excellent President.

8. So did I (WFP, that is)
although I have the opposite conclusions about her career as senator and likely performance as president.

while I will vote for her or whoever the dem candidate is in '08, I haven't yet decided on a primary vote but as of today am leaning Clinton.

12. Oy Vey
Is that even a fair question 3 days before the game?????

Okay, as I'm a patriot (oh look - I made a pun) and love my country, it's more important that Hillary or any Dem takes the white house in November. In sports, there is always next year.

14. That's not what I asked...
Sure, you're for the Dem in Nov.

But now, in the NY primary - would you trade a Clinton loss for a Giant win?

16. Yes - because I also like Obama
I'm very torn over this primary vote. I've never really liked two candidates the same before. I think they'd both make fine presidents.

18. You got it
I was going to flip a coin (that's how close I consider the two candidates). This is a much better idea.

22. No, to be accurate...
IF people have answered honestly then:

Nine people who voted for Clinton in 2000 will not vote for her in 2008.

It doesn't mean they're Democrats per se. Besides Democrats this site allows leftists, progressives, liberal independents and the odd swing voter.

IF the poll is accurate (which would be some luck!) then:

36% of Clinton's former voters dislike her for president.

I can easily imagine something like 20%, which is a big swing.

23. I can't vote. I'm a legal resident of the US
It's frustrating not being able to vote for my favorite candidate; but it's just too expensive to pay for the citizenship application, and it's going up now in June again. Almost $1000, I believe. And I won't be able to vote in the 2008 election anyway.

24. I don't get it...
In 2000 while living abroad I voted by absentee ballot (at any rate, I hope it was counted) in the federal elections, including for House and Senate from New York, my prior last legal residence.

I'm sure you still can - you can't vote for state or city government, but for federal.

Or has this changed?
