When John Edwards said he would "suspend" his campaign
did he mean that he may only be out of it temporarily? If so, is he still hoping for votes on super Tuesday? Also, is that the reason why he hasn't endorsed either Obama or Clinton?

1. The way I understood it
It has to be done that way so that the staffers can get paid--part of the public financing rules--suspend THEN disband.

5. The talking heads have been yammering about it all day
*sigh*

Finally get the man on the news without self-immolation and it is about archaic campaign finance rules.

2. That is a legal maneuver to allow him to collect matching funds as well
as continue to use campaign funds to pay his staff.

3. Some guest on msnbc tonight said that he's waiting to endorse...
...until he sees more fight out of Obama ~ supposedly someone in the campaign told him that.

"Suspend" is just a technical term so that he can keep paying people, as I understand it.

6. My take on the endorsement is that he is keeping his powder dry
once he endorses, he loses his claim on the other about his message.

Until an endorsement, they are on HIS home turf with his very passionate supporter base (reportedly 50% uncommitted per MSNBC citing a poll someone did last week -- sorry, short on details on that).

I count myself among them.

7. Thankyou all very much
I now feel more enlightened. I'm still sorry he dropped out though.
