Edwards Supporters
Do what your heart tells you to do.

I'm not going to try to sway your vote. You need time to think this through and react to what's happened today.

You gave it a great run. You had an outstanding, OUTSTANDING candidate.

Jump to Clinton. Jump to Obama. Still vote for Edwards out of loyalty. It's your choice and nobody can make it but you.

You know, many of us here could be in your shoes today. Many of us here have, whether we supported Howard Dean or Wesley Clark or Dick Gephardt last year, or Bill Richardson, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden or Dennis Kucinich this year. It's a hard thing to go through when your candidate drops out.

Take all the time you need to decide what you want to do. Don't let anyone pressure you.

And above all, hold your head up high because you guys and your candidate have nothing to be ashamed about. You brought more to this race than the media has admitted, a lot more than I've admitted, and a lot more than most Clinton and Obama supporters have admitted.

Be well.

2. Most gracious and sage. Thank you
One would hope the remaining candidates will take Edwards' messages to heart, both on policies, issues, and campaign deportment.

May I thank Edwards, his family, and his campaign in your thread also. The took the higher road. No one can take that from them. They led by example.

3. Thanks For Your Kind Words, As I'm Crying Right Now... I Can't Say
my reaction is just a "reaction" because I won't abandon him, EVER!

Can't vote for the other two, I think they're too much like what we have now. If I didn't TRULY BELIEVE that I would "hold my nose" for the Democratic Party! But the Democratic Party isn't THE Democratic Party I once knew and devoted so much to.

I have to leave here for a while, I just can't deal with this right now.

5. I've been an Edwards fan
since around 2000 and told my cousin that he was a guy to watch. All along he was the guy my wife and I thought was the best choice-up until about 2 weeks ago. At that point it just became clear that he wasn't going to win so we switched our support over to Obama. We voted yesterday down here and did just that...I feel we were justified with our decision and our votes

7. Exactly the right thing to post right now!

I cannot believe how crushed I am! Almost as crushed as the day after the GEs in 2000 and 2004, but not quite. I have fluctated this morning from a sinking feeling to outright bawling!

It may take me a couple of days, but at least a couple of hours, damn it, to think about moving on.

I wish John and Elizabeth and family all the best - Edwards supporters too!
