PLEASE VOTE FOR OBAMA
If it's going to happen, yet again, that the choice is between one conservative corporatist and another, please vote for the lesser of the two evils.

The way things are going, it's going to come down to McCain versus Clinton or McCain versus Obama.

McCain versus Clinton is like choosing between Coke and Pepsi. At least Obama is slightly more liberal then Clinton. Not by much, but what can you do? The corporate media has succeeded, once again, in making certain that nothing changes. Shame on America for falling for it again, even after these last 8 disastrous years.

Sigh!

13. No obama for me
Not yet anyway. Obama has proven that he is a snotty nosed brat who claims to want unity, yet snubs those who he believes have wronged him. He will depend on others to guide him and knows nothing himself about foreign policy. Sorry-gotta go with hillary.

12. Hillary claims she was "misled" on the intelligence about Iraqi WMD. Which gives Obama entry:
a) either Clinton is telling the trunh and one has to then ask whether America can really depend upon a president who is so easily misled

or

b) Clinton is telling a lie and one then has to ask why she really voted to authorize the war.

My personal belief is option B. HilBilly is telling a lie -- she was not misled. Instead, she voted for the IWR to demonstrate that she was "tough" on national security issues. All well and good, except her vote has led to the deaths by conservative estimates of 150-600,000 Iraqi civilians and roughly 4,000 American troops.

Why Obama does not light into her on this line is beyond me. Doing so would lock in the anti-war vote for him and paint HilBilly into a corner out of which there is no easy exit.

Put another way (with apologies to Michael Moore): were you misled about Iraq prior to March, 2003????

Bob Graham's statement prior to the IWR vote:
"Friends, I encourage you to read the classified intelligence reports which are much sharper than what is available in declassified form," Sen. Graham reports stating on the floor of the Senate in October 2002.

"We are going to be increasing the threat level against the people of the United States." He warned: "Blood is going to be on your hands"

40. Gee. that's funny. I marched against the war multiple times before
it began (and after). Somehow 30 million of us worldwide were not misled before the war began. Of course, we were aware that Saddam Hussein's son-in-law had defected to Jordan in the mid-90s, was debriefed by CIA and MI6 while there and definitively established that all Iraqi WMD (which SH had tasked him with) had been destroyed on his orders shortly after the first Gulf War. Whole thing detailed in Newsweek magazine which, at last check, Hilbilly had as much access to as I did.

41. "Hilbilly?" I would NEVER vote for Obama because of people like you.
I knew the war was a huge mistake too, but you also didn't see the Intel the Senate was fed. It was much more detailed than what we got. Her vote was a huge mistake and after she's elected, I'm sure she'll finally admit that. So, what's Obamas excuse for funding the occupation? If you're against a war, you don't fund it.

24. I'm not voting for anyone that won't investigate the criminals in office.
That would be Obama. He told me so himself. He wants to stop the political bickering and move on. I don't think so. Not after all the things these criminals have done to destroy my country. They MUST pay for their crimes. Hillary is more likely to do something about the "great right wing conspiracy" CRIMINALS. They are due her revenge and sweet revenge it will be, after everything they did to her and her husband..... IMCPO

And besides all that, the mudslinging I have seen from Obama supporters on this board, aimed at Hillary, has been disgusting. Sexist, mean, hateful mudslinging. Obama is my Senator. I helped put him in the Senate. My husband and I both voted for him, but we are both voting for Hillary if Edwards isn't on our ballot and that all depends on how close the race is by Feb. 5. If it's close...we vote for Hillary, period.

I think one thing the Obama supporters have overlooked here. The female voter. We vote. MORE women vote than do men. When you make sexist, disgusting insults toward a female Presidential candidate, you are going to see the wrath of the female voter....BIG MISTAKE on your part. IMCPO. I could easily have put Obama's "play nice", "bring repukes and Dems together", "stop the politics of bickering", "Hope", "Change" rhetoric (and that's all it is, rhetoric) aside and voted for him instead of Hillary because Hillary doesn't particularly appeal to me either. I HATE her IWR vote. I HATE her Patriot Act vote. I HATE her Corporate connections, but she is the first female to ever run for president and has been demeaned, slandered, called a "fucking bitch", called Billary just because her husband campaigns for her, called HillBilly, called a "fucking LIAR", "George Bush has more honor than Hillary" and on and on and on it goes. Forget it. Obama will never get my vote and I hope Hillary wins HUGE. Maybe then women in this country will get some freakin' RESPECT.

I just talked to my sister and a female friend this morning and they are BOTH voting for Hillary now.

But you have sure dished the sexist crap on her. You can't deny it.

Hillary hasn't said she'd put the deranged in jail, but Obama has already said HE WON'T. If there's any chance of having these thugs pay for their crimes, it's with Hillary and that's just a fact. Heaven knows, they deserve anything she can dish out.

31. I call that a tirade...
and a great one. Obama supporters have absolutely no class. If anyone ever dared to call Obama the black male equivalent of the names they call Hillary Clinton on this site, we would never be heard from again.
Much as I dislike and distrust Obama it would never occur to me to stoop so low. I think it's pretty clear who is trying to fracture the Democratic party. This man is not acting like an adult or a true Democrat and his supporters are following suit.

We're really going to go right to telling Edwards Democrats to vote for Obama Democrats, and right to calling Clinton the same as McCain. Today is about Edwards the man and movement. Not for votes for Obama or throwing mud at Clinton.

There's plenty of time to take about votes and strategy. Today likes talk about Edwards and the Edwards Democrats - and the bright future the Edwards movement will have.

34. Obama, no thanks
Obama started out his run by hireing a bunch of Evangelical gay haters to speak for him. Then he defended them. Thus far, your candidate who said the singers were just going to sing, has not even said if the preaching done against my family at his events was done against his orders or on his orders.
If Obama wants to see me cast a vote at all in the Primary or in the General, for President or for any other Democratic candidate he will have to strongly and clearly sever his ties with the Ex- Gay movement, drop their code speak words when speaking about me and my family and stand firmly with the Democratic voters he spit on when he allowed McClurkin to bash us last summer. McClurkin who has been a very vocal supporter of George W Bush, and sang for Bush on TV at the GOP Convention 2004, was allowed to bash Democrats who attempted to defeat George W Bush. Kirbyjon Caldwell, another Obama backing Fundie, actually called W on the phone to ask permission to back Obama!
Obama stands with a bunch of Bushies against my family. As long as that goes on, I will not vote for him, and may not be able to vote for the Party that allows such Repulican tactics to flourish.
The McClurkin events were a huge deal to me and to millions of others. It left me not only opposed to Obama, but very unhappy with the DNC for the first time in my life. Obama made a trade the Party will have to live with for years.
If you want my vote for Obama, tell him he has to come ask for it, on bended kneee, with full apology. I also need to know that as President he would not allow that sort of hate religion to express itself at official Unitied States events. No apology, you'd best hope he can get elected by the Republicans he is campaigning to. He's the most divisive candidate I have ever seen, in terms of my family, within the Democratic Party.

36. I appreciate your polite tone, but I'm now supporting Hillary Clinton.
I agree that there is little difference between the two. Therefore, Obama's pandering to the worst homophobes in the nation takes on real significance in my choice. I also don't like some other things his campaign has done. His message that we should get along with Republicans leaves me cold.

While I disagree with many of Hillary Clinton's decisions, I think she's as likely as Obama to move the country forward, and I admire her courage and tenacity in the face of unceasing attacks from the right-wing media.
