How will DU react to Gore endorsing Obama? |
|
Will Hill's supporters start numerous threads about how much they really dislike Gore and how he ushered in the Bush era?
From the looks of this board I guess yes.

8. What they did to Hillary and especially Edwards they would do to Gore |
|
Gore was more conservative early in his career than Hillary and Edwards ever were.

You got proof to back that up? Most people wanted Gore to jump in months and months ago. If Gore was in the race Obama wouldn't be.

10. Look at what they did to Edwards and Hillary |
|
I don't think Obama would have cared if Gore was running. It would have stolen some of his thunder, though, over the war.

16. Obama is separate from the supporters on DU |
|
Obama would never trash Gore like you're saying.
But this is all moot, Gore isn't running.

I think obama would have run with or without Gore. I don't think he would have aggressively attacked Gore but his supporters would have.

2. You can count on that. |
|
Hillary Clinton is the protean candidate..like Mitt Romeny. Willing to say or do anything to win. And that includes trashing Al Gore if necessary, I'd put money on it.

It happens. But I think I'm pretty fair. ;)
Seriously, no one should speculate about Gore. Gore does what Gore wants to do. I'd be shocked if he endorsed in the primary.

He'll take the high road and let us decide, then put his support behind who we pick for the GE most likely.

7. Gore is endorsing Obama??? How'd I miss that? |
|
A bit of sarcasm here. Jumping the gun a bit, are we? I love the way some Obama's supporters take that endorsement as a given, even as their due.

11. I'm gonna bet that Gore endorses Obama this week |
|
in advance of Super tuesday.
Gore has built up alot of political capital and it would be a waste not to weigh in on who will be the dem candidate. That said better than most he probably sees the rare opportunity to put forth a candidate that presents the very real possibilty of healing the nasty political divisions that are becoming ever more entrenched in our nation.
I'm calling it, Gore endorses Obama by Thursday.
