Even if he throws his support behind Obama, who the hell is going to be that attack dog that goes after Hillary during the campaign and in the debates? Obama by himself? I don't think so. Edwards was the only one who was half-way effective in attacking Hillary. I can't imagine Obama going up against the Goddess of Peace, one on one, all by his lonesome. The poor guy won't know what hit him.

Y'all should be praying that Edwards stays in the race for the duration, just to help Obama deal with Hillary, if not for anything else. :smoke:

(Oh, and congrats to the true Obama supporters for his victory in SC)

2. They should hope that he stays in as long as possible.
He's helping split the white vote.

16. Lots of them. If I had known anyone would ask who, I would've kept track
but there have been lots. I think there's even been threads about wanting Edwards to drop out so Obama can have his supporters and all that kind of jargon.

7. Who said that? I want him to stay in as long as he feels HE wants to.
And every time I see that particular graphic, I know what kind of mood you're in. This is your 'stir-it-up' mode, no?

Martin Luther King III wrote Edwards a letter ENCOURAGING him to remain in the race.

11. One school of thought is that...
Edwards is splitting the anti Clinton vote with Obama. If Edwards dropped out, then Obama would get all of the anti Clinton vote.

13. I've not wanted Edwards out.
I just thinks folks are tired of seeing his name on the ballot and he doesn't seem to win.....I think that is why he can't break through.

Personally, I believe that he helps Obama!

17. I want Hillary to drop out...
Edwards and Obama are class acts. I'd vote for either one, but more importantly I could really go for a debate between the two. Hillary is a side show.

All of that cross-over stuff has some, not all, downside you know.
