1. Rush probably wants a chickenhawk like himself.
But who knows what goes through the mind of a drug addict pervert.

6. For sure, and we should not ignore that.

He seems to be touting Thompson (!) and not knocking Romney much.
Hard to figure.

16. I look at Rush as a self serving individual who has zero scruples...
He is trying to place himself in a position to get higher ratings at all times. Ratings - the name of the game with this guy. His political thought is without real substance.

3. He helped sink McCain in 2000 in favor of Chimpy. If McCain ends
up being the nominee, I expect he'll have to unenthusiastically support him, or lose his listenership.

7. David Gregory....
Edited on Sun Jan-20-08 01:53 PM by TwoSparkles
...was on MSNBC discussing the White House and their inside opinions on the
Republican primary.

I thought it was interesting that Gregory said that senior WH staff does not like
Romney, and that they do not want him in the White House. Romney is campaigning on
a "Washington is broken" meme, so I guess that makes sense. However, Romney seemed to
kow tow to BushCo's line on "torture"--and he wouldn't condemn waterboarding. I though
for sure, he was their guy.

Now, we hear Limbaugh dissing McCain. Clearly, McCain speaks out against torture and
has been more reasonable than the raging neocons on human-rights issues. Who does
Limbaugh want? He had said that Huckabee is a liberal in preacher's clothes. If
Limbaugh is leveraging Romney, he's clearly going against BushCo, and has toed the
BushCo line during Bush's tenure.

Interesting...

I think this is kind of amusing. The Republican party is in complete disarray.

17. It's not just Rush
Mark Levin described both McCain and Huck as "liberals" on Thursday; he urged SC voters to go for Thompson. Oddly, he described 9u11iani as "someone who has done liberal things, bus is not basically a liberal."

<<Is rush limbaugh that important?>>

Yes. He is both a mirror of the right, and a giver of marching orders. Like many righties, Rush can commit all manner of moral failing, but somehow it does not matter.
