11. has anyone seen exit/entrance polls? |
|
I'm being lazy by not tracking them down but others may have seen them already. I figure this is kinda like Biden having 5% in the entrance polls and coming out with 1% from the caucus. And then the media happily reporting BIDEN GOT LESS THAN 1% SUPPORT IN IOWA. Sigh.

6. Edwards' results are a consequence of the f*ed up caucus system |
|
He did get votes, I'm sure, but were canceled by quorums and other fuzzy math they use there.

8. i think many Edwards people decided to support Hillary |
|
when they saw how much they were outnumbered. he would have come in third anyways but that the number is so low was probably because of that.
i bet Bill also targeted those he saw were Edwards people since they might not have had the numbers in the first place.

9. I thought Hillary winning 7 of 9 Casinos was the big story |
|
I really didn't expect this at all. Edwards getting only 4% was a shocking event too though :wtf:

10. Romney's finish was huge |
|
Not just among Mormons, but among everyone. Even if no Mormons voted in Nevada, Romney still would won easily. That's big.

13. I'm super pissed that.... |
|
Edwards came in 3rd and with so low of a percentage. I had a feeling Hillary would win, Edwards would get 2nd and Obama 3rd.

15. It's because of the media |
|
The media decided months ago that the story of the Democratic nomination in 2008 was "the first woman president vs. the first black president", and there's no room in that story for John Edwards. If you can't get media coverage in this country, you can't win.

I just hope that if Hillary wins the nom. that she picks John as her running mate. I think Obama has screwed himself. And anyway John wouldn't let the repukes get way with shit.

I was reading polls suggesting that Edwards was basically tied for the lead (within margin of error) up to the day before this thing and then he gets 4%? I was stunned.
