Any reason we can't say Romney is now the front runner... |
|
Huckabee, Romney and McCain have each won one important primary/caucus. Romney has come in second in two of them, and he has won a small contest in Wyoming...

1. They're all running backwards into Medieval times. |
|
This has got to be the most pathetic crop of GOP candidates ever.
Could they possibly have looked so formidable to Gingrich at one point that he was scared off? He must be kicking himself.

7. Hi, Ishoutandscream2. I wonder who actually will wind up with the |
|
GOP nom. May the gods forgive me, but I hope the Republicans rip each other to shards on the convention floor in Minneapolis.
I'm hungry for a Democratic White House!

8. I don't want to underestimate their candidates too much |
|
but even my ultra right wing aquaintances are pretty much apathetic about this crop of yahoos. I know it's simply observation on my part, but in my dark red part of the country, that can only be a good thing for us.

9. Agree. Also I want to say thanks for having the integrity and the guts to |
|
stick to your guns in that district.
Good for you, and I hope some of your fellow voters in that part of our country will abandon the GOP and vote blue in November.

2. why not? as you say he has won 2 and come in second in 2 |
|

But there are two other strong candidates and Giuliani and Thompson can come back from the crypt if they do well in South Carolina and Florida. He isn't a front runner in the same sense as Hillary.

6. I agree nominally is a good word |
|
that race is all up in the air. Imagine if Thompson wins SC and Rudy wins Florida. Then they all will have won a state. Never have seen anything like this. Shows the Repubs maybe do not like their candidates that much. Could be a brokered convention for them?

4. He's definitely raking up the delegates. |
|
But for people that don't follow delegate scorecards, it still appears there is no front-runner. Romney and McCain should both do well in Nevada. I don't necessarily know if I would name a front-runner yet.

10. He is the frontrunner: Iowa: 2nd. N. Hampshire: 2nd. Michigan: 1st. Wyoming: 1st. |
|
Will the media give him credit? I doubt it.

11. The media wants McCain. McCain will be willed into the White House by MSNBC. |

12. The media do want McCain and Rudy. |
|
That's why I take joy in Romney's victory.
And we can beat Romney.

Romney consistently polls 10 points or more behind all our Democrat front runners.
