Edwards could use a big time endorsement - Al are you listening?
I think it is fair to say that Edwards has the most progressive platform on dealing with the environment and global warming of any of the major Democratic contenders. Will this encourage Al Gore to step forward and give him his endorsement? Remember that Gore did step in early and endorse a progressive candidate in Howard Dean in 2004. I would have to think that a Gore endorsement would be a huge boost to the Edwards campaign.

I am a big Al Gore fan and really would have loved to see him run this time around. Given that is not going to happen, an endorsement of Edwards would be second best on my list.

1. Ah, almost forgot about Al. I think he'll endorse Obama.
Not that I think he doesn't like Edwards too. I think he's going to wait awhile until it's more of a two person race, then support whoever's not Hillary.

5. Just like he endorsed Dean in 2004 (and we know how that turned out)
I don't see an endorsement from Gore this year.

7. Dean was easy prey
And Al's stock is alot higher now then it was back in 2004. If global warming is truly his # 1 priority I have to think he is not going to sit on the side line when there is a candidate like Edwards who embodies much of his thinking.

P.S. Let's not forget there is no love lost to the Clintons. Endorsing Edwards could be a twofer.

6. If he were going to have endorsed Edwards, it would have been before Iowa,
when Edwards still had a chance.

9. I really don't think an endorsement from Gore would help Edwards
Most Gore fanatics naturally shifted towards Edwards anyway. The people who never particularly cared whether or not Gore entered won't be persuaded one way or another.
