Is the word "change" passe now?
I think that itch has been scratched. I noticed Hillary wasn't using it, but used "transform." I liked her word after she "teared up" and that is "reversed" as in the damage has to be reversed. Obama used "change" in his speech, but it did not (to my ears) seem to have the spark it had only a few days ago. the idea may still resonate, but the word may already be overexposed.

Or not.

1. Change is inoperative now that we're taking a step back to the
1990's instead of moving forward.

4. I'm saying the word, not the meaning.
Change is wanted and needed. But the word "change" might start to sound like you're trying to push people's buttons if you use it too much. I'm just saying that the meaning of change should not be obscured by trying to wear the word "change" on one's lapel. It's time for more words to describe the change. Revive, restore, reverse the damage, replenish...

10. As a category, not as a word.
I'm specifically asking if the word "change" has become passe. I fully agree the wish for change itself is as great I as I have ever seen it. It is the way I feel myself.

13. Well, after 8 years of Chimp stench, change is not just an empty slogan
Change has always been a political slogan of virtually every candidate in the history of American politics. But this year, the desire for change is so desperately needed, as if our very lives depended on it, that to me it never wears thin. I look forward to change in the White House with giddy anticipation.
