Clinton smeared by the media for having more supporters, no wait - less supporters in gym than Obama

Clinton recruits out-of-staters to pack rally
Reporters who walked into this Nashua high school today were immediately struck by the crowd — there are visibly more people here for Sen. Hillary Clinton than were here for Sen. Barack Obama yesterday in the same location.
The Clinton crowd was loud and boisterous and their foot-stomping was thunderous.
Many of them were also from Massachusetts.
Clinton gave a few minute speech about how she sees the race for 2008 shaping up, then started taking questions. As she did, I noticed dozens of people start streaming out via the back doors.
Another reporter noticed a charter bus parked outside — and it wasn't part of our traveling motorcade.

Clinton's crowd control showing signs of panic
The question in the travelling media pool following Clinton was how many she would attract to the same place. It's just two days out from the vote in the New Hampshire primary for the nomination of the US president and this kind of momentum and numbers matters.
Clinton's campaign staff had shrunk the room. It made the crowd look bigger.
Using barricades, the public area in front of Clinton was considerably smaller than at the Obama event the previous day. Instead, they expanded the area reserved for the media.
"What a great crowd, I'm overwhelmed by the turnout!" Clinton said as, she bounded on to stage with daughter Chelsea. "They say there are about 3500 people here."
It was more like 2000. It was another sign of desperation in a campaign that is being overwhelmed by Obama's emphatic defeat of Clinton in the Iowa caucus last week.

1. It's disgusting "coverage" but right in keeping with the
way she's been treated by the MSM for months- despite the myth that DUers buy into that the MSM loves her.

7. "The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere,
The ceremony of innocence is drowned,"

The MSM drowned all pretense of their innocence long ago, cali...

2. What can we say, the media in this country sucks so bad of which I think
it is just like the corporations which suck so bad. Everything is about the bottom line over substance, good reporting, honest reporting and being informative of which the media doesn't seem to do any of the above anymore. You have to work hard at getting the truth or accuracy of a story anymore.

3. The smear wasn't the numbers. The smear was how they got there.
Those weren't native New Hampshire voters.

And they didn't cross state lines spontaneously. Apparently, there were emergency calls placed, and they were bused in to New Hampshire on the Clinton campaign dime on charter buses, for appearances only.

4. "Emergency calls?"
Campaigns bring in volunteers all the time. There's nothing sinister or unusual about this.

6. So you choose to believe the "more" story? Why not the "fewer" story?
Is it because bussing people to fill the gym sounds worse than using barricades to fake a full gym?

9. Uh...
If Clinton had more supporters but she had to recruit non-New Hampshire-ites to make it that way, it's good the media reported it. That's just shady.

10. Uh
Do we know the numbers that crossed over the Iowa border from Obama's home state?

11. Did you choose the media's "more" version because it sounds more "shady"
than the "she had 1500 fewer but faked it so expertly it looked like she had more" version?

12. do you realize the washington times has zero creditabilty
as a news or an opinion source. the Australian newspaper has a daily circulation of 130,000-195000 and is owned by news corp but is best described as liberal conservative...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Australian

13. I just heard the same thing discussed by a reporter on XM Radio
POTUS08 channel, who was at that rally and a subsequent one, where Clinton said the Nashua turn-out had been 3700. The fact is, everyone is looking for data on what is going on, and the size of crowds is one good piece of data. So, reporters are paying attention to it and also paying attention to campaign efforts to misrepresent turn-out.

14. "paying attention to campaign efforts to misrepresent turn-out"
Paying attention so closely that two different media outfits see the same event and smear her having more than Obama by busing supporters in, and smear her for rigging the gym so her smaller than Obama's crowd looks bigger. Next we'll hear Clinton had exactly the same number as Obama, and that proves she's Hitler...
