Poll question: Are This Year's Crop Of Candidates Better Than 2004's Crop Of Candidates? |
|
This year, with:
Hillary Obama Edwards Richardson Biden Dodd Kucinich Gravel
are they a better collection of candidates (options, if you will) than what we had in 2004 with...
Kerry Dean Clark Edwards Gephardt Lieberman Sharpton Mosely-Braun Kucinich

I would say Dean is the best out of both groups. Just too bad he wasn't in it this time around. No doubt he would have taken Iowa this time, and I'm guessing by a larger margin than Obama did.

We needed someone of the stature of Al Gore or Howard Dean or John Kerry, but instead we've got the second string.

I think the 2004 candidates were better for 2004. I think the 2008 candidates would have been good in 2004, but not vice versa.

I wish Hillary would have run against Bush, I really do.
She would be a much better candidate running against an incumbant, rather than trying to run in a wide-open field like this. She's very good at attacking Bush.

I agree. That style worked better in 04 against an incumbent. Now it just does not come off well. She should have tried in 04 but wanted to ride this "experience" campaign which may not be effective in 08.
I loved Kerry though so I am glad he ran in 04. Would have made an excellent president.

9. Good candidates this year, but I liked the 2004 crop better because |
|
Wes Clark was among them. I truly believed that he was the best person to fix the mess that the current administration has created. I believe he's still the best person, but unfortunately he's not running this year.
