Obama will be great for the Democratic Party in November!!
Just imagine all the down ticket races that he will help win cause of all the new voters he will attract to the polls, particularly the young and African-Americans!! I could potentially see a tsunami of Democrats getting swept into office from state races all the way to Congress. Howard Dean has to be salivating over this prospect. Who knows, maybe we'll end up getting 60 senators in November?!

1. He won't hurt the down state and local candidates and issues like Hillary
But barring a total meltdown by the Replican nominee, he won't win the presidency.

2. We already had a tsunami in 2006, and what if Obama loses?

3. Reality check
If Gore and Kerry could not win the male swing voters, how do you think Obama can? It ain't gonna happen. In fairness, I don't think Hillary could do it either. These swing voters usually vote; the groups you mention above usually do not.

Can Obama win the blue states Kerry did, and flip enough red states as well??

4. Reality check? Obama could out-debate ALL repug hopefuls if he had to, he's a cinch, a shoo-in
Obama will be the biggest landslide since Nixon.

7. You're kidding right? There are no landslides anymore. And debates are only a small part.
He will get beat just like Kerry, Dukakis, Mondale etc.

9. It will indeed be such a landslide
But not the way you want it. Obama wil lose like Mondale and McGovern did. He will always poll high, but election night will be a nightmare, you will see.

5. No, he can't, I agree. You've got to win conservative-leaning swing states
Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 02:16 AM by Carrieyazel
like Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Nevada. Obama can't do that, not in a million years.

And Pennsylvania and Wisconsin (Kerry states) are going to be tough. And of course, he's going to lose all other southern states.

6. Obama's got the "New voters who want change", while
Kerry/Edwards had the "ABA voters". Obviously inspiration is what Obama's got plenty of....and in the end, that is what is needed....not getting people out to vote AGAINST somebody.

Iowa caucus 2004 = 120,000
Iowa caucus 2008 = 238,000

Who do you think made those numbers change like that? Edwards?

8. I was watching fox after msnbc started replaying
and I heard laura ingram say she was at one of the caucus locations tonight and when she compared the energy levels between the Republicans and the Dems all she ciould think of was that the republicans were in trouble.

From laura ingrams mouth to gods ears!

10. Laura Ingrate is sore, because Huck, (who she despises) won big.
She's a fanatical Repuke lunatic who has been vilifying Huckabee for weeks.
