Let's demoralize them even more. Go Iowa dems, go!

2. Buchanan just said he thinks Iowa's going Dem for the general,
which also means tonight. Bad news for rethugs.

3. Sounds like that will likely be the case.
Many of the reports have indicated that Dem turnout is expected to be about double that of the Reps.

7. I think that they've been pretty demoralized since the '06 results.

Let's hope that carries over to '08 turnout all the way to the GE. We could use a nice filibuster-proof Senate.

Or about 200,000 to 75,000 would be acceptable.

10. Even double would be impressive.
Iowa went 50/49 to Bush in '04, then took a bit of a left in '06. A huge turnout would help confirm that the '06 left turn was indicative of a trend.

19. 72 million Dems, 55 million Reps, 42 million Inds.
The Republicans CANNOT WIN unless they cheat, or they get 30 million independents to side with them.

20. Do you have a link for that?
I want to send it to a couple of my (R) relatives. I've noticed it in your sig line and have been meaning to ask. No time like the present!

9. They just said reports are 2:1 or even 3:1 turnout for Democrats!
This was on Hardball. And, yes, Buchanan said that if it's 2 to 1, that Iowa will go Democratic in the generals. And that means the nation. This is kind of huge.

17. Nobody was expecting this?
I keep saying, the Dem wins. If we count the votes. I don't know why anyone would be surprised. Look at the dregs on the Republican slate. They have better people than this. No Republican worth spit is going near this election. On the Republican side, it's only for losers.

11. Yes! No matter which Dem wins....
We want there to be so many Dems caucusing that it will scare the crap out of the Repukes. They need to know that the dire straights that their buddy Bush has left this country in has consequences.

13. As long as that doesn't mean the 'Pukes are going to the Democratic caucuses
It's bad enough one state gets so much to say in the process. Having that state's Repukes make our choice would be intolerable.

14. I doubt it. It takes too much effort and most people won't
bother. It sounds like it's sounded for some time throughout the country: Dems are psyched and repukes aren't.
