to work for items they agree on for the common good.
Triangulation: the art of speaking to opposing groups in such a vague manner as to convince each group that you agree with their point of view.
Discuss.

There's only caving on the Democratic side ~ that ain't working for America. What we need is some serious butt-kicking, beginning with impeachment and cutting the war funds.

4. It's not abandoning beliefs at all. It's saying I believe "A+" and you believe |

"A-", but we both agree on "B", so we'll table our differences on "A" and work like hell on "B", then get back to "A".
That's as opposed to triagulation where a candidate makes such vague statement that one group hears "A+" and another hears "A-".
