Various pundits in different media looked like a coalition of ants trying to topple the Washington Monument.

I love the carping from people who pretty much haven't done one real, constructive thing in their life. You don't think he "deserved" it?!!

Well, then, you freaking morons, why don't you get off your asses and demonstrate the type of action you think is "deserving".

And while you're at it, why don't you write a bestseller or two that actually involves original thinking?

2. Sadly, no. It only underlined how mean spirited and pathetic the right is.
Bush should have personally called Gore to thank him. That's what the President does when an American wins a Nobel prize. Instead, the WH releases a half-assed congratulations and ends it by saying that Gore would have preferred to switch places with Bush rather than to have won the Nobel prize. I detest these people. I really do. They are a bunch of whining, sniveling, disingenuous asshats.

3. Absolutely.
I've been looking for the congratulatory note from someone on the right. So far, I haven't seen it.

4. Jealousy is a huge part of what motivates conservatives IMO..
That's why all they can do is try to discredit and destroy--Dan Rather, Dixie Chicks, lately Bruce Springsteen, and now Gore. Attacks on the talented and acheiving are rage on the part of the untalented and unacheiving. They want to be given just as much credibility and attention, even tho they can't do the things necessary to earn it.

Where is the conservative version of Rather, Chicks, Springsteen, and Gore? They don't exist.

6. I was really surprised by McCain's lack of graciousness--I didn't
realize that the old fool was that far gone.

7. I've heard several say that most people work for years to get a
Nobel nomination and that Gore shouldn't have been nominated this soon. WTF! Al Gore has worked for years on environmental issues. This is not a project that he decided to take up on a whim. They try to equate the Nobel Prize with the "An Inconvenient Truth" alone and it goes much further than that.
