Will anyone in the administration ever be prosecuted for their crimes?
Even after they've left office, will anyone in Congress have the stones to actually try and then imprison Cheney or Bush or Gonzales for their crimes?

Token Scooter Libby perjury counts notwithstanding, I mean real meat and bones investigations and prosecutions of serious breaches of Constitutional law.

Well?

4. Probably some schmuck with a mop and a pail will take all the blame.
I am just basing that on some stuff I've seen.

5. The most 'WE' can ever hope for is a slap on the wrist..........
and a verbal tongue lashing. THEY ALL should be tried in the Hague and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.

9. Get your point, but Congress has no authority to imprison the Executive.
Congress' only options are to impeach and remove from office, hold investigations and forward the info to the DOJ for follow up, or legislate limits on a 'unitary' executive and make the case in the SCOTUS, if necessary.

Congress has the authority to impeach - a political action, not a legal action.

SCOTUS has the authority to decide basic constitutional conflicts between Congress and the Executive.

DOJ has the authority to bring criminal charges against individuals, including members of the Executive.

They're all different things, different approaches, meant to maintain a balance of power.

10. did milosevic?
did the nazi criminals of germany?

in general history does punish the truly evil even if it takes a few decades to get there.

pull back the camera lens.

every banana republic dictator gets shot in between their eyes by their own snakes or the snakes they created by being a dictator.

in the end, evil begets evil.

love begets love and will for ever more.

these men are evil. they will have their due punishment including the fact that their mere evilness is often torture enough.

imagine being cheney falling asleep at night. some say he may be pathological, but I frankly think the man must think the most horrendous thoughts of fear and while he gets a brief reprieve from his gay daughter's new baby, overall the man seems tortured to me.

tortured like the boy who shot up an entire campus tortured.

cheney is in the end, going to have to struggle hard to find peace, and will most certainly get sucked into international tribunal actions even if he is not present, I do not think the Europeans appreciate the ways the US has ruined every major step they have taken towards nuclear disarmament, kyoto, etc.

i think most folks are waiting till the attack of a VP is not as imminent, meaning the day he's not a VP we'll see some real action.

even rumsfeld, i'm quite sure will end up in a very dirty place in his elder years.

bush sr. , yeah he makes money, but i don't see him getting the respect that presidents like carter gets..

but these crooks will have one thing to say. that americans didn't care for long enough to let them carry on for 8 years.

in my analysis its' the people who let them do what they did that I"M after... the press... the press... the greedy corporations, the lobbyists, the greedy senators and the wimpy house of reps, the american people with not boycotting elections or demanding a revolt after 2004..

anyway, i feel in general all things tend toward truth though slowly over time.
