:puke: Explanation: In order to call for another vote, a Senator has to have voted against the defeated measure. Gag.

5. So he voted AGAINST cloture for a patriot act
but there's another version---is that one being filibustered, is there a cloture vote? You can't stick just one toe into a Senate procedural update.

7. I am unsure what is happening now procedurally.
Sessions is griping, whining, if you will.

12. He originally voted for cloture, than voted against it
because as someone who voted against cloture, he can can ask that there be another vote for cloture. (You can't do that if you keep the vote as for cloture.)

Leahy wants to move to the 3 month extension. But Frist is trying to screw us all.

6. It's such a wonderful bill - but we can't extend it for 3 months, it's
just too good to extend, we want what we want and we won't play any other way. :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

11. We should remember this, in case he doesn't get indicted and go to
jail on insider trading. It could come in handy in his next campaign, if we're unfortunate enough that he has one.
