Your DU Ticket to the "World Economic Forum/Davos" right here ONLINE! |
Edited on Fri Jan-28-05 09:17 PM by KoKo01
For us DU'ers who felt left out of the WEF at Davos because we aren't "highrollers and politically connected" here's a list of the topics discussed and a link to the website which give a summary of what was discussed and who attended.
Bill and Hillary, Stephanopolis, Gergen and many other media folks. Plus the Business Leaders and other "movers and shakers" were there. But if you want to know what they talked about...it's here, free and all by the click of a mouse we can be safe inside and not have "jet lag" and have to spend all that money to attend. They put it online. We missed the socializing and the hobnobbing with the powerful...but hey..if we want to know what they are doing...at least they made it OPEN and not like the Bushies...undercover and top secret. Their three day programs sounds like topics we discuss on DU all the time. :D Here's the topics and the link to the website for the summaries: Date Title 26 Jan 2005 09.00 Update 2005: China 26 Jan 2005 09.00 Update 2005: Climate Change 26 Jan 2005 09.00 Update 2005: Global Economy 26 Jan 2005 09.00 Update 2005: Islam 26 Jan 2005 09.00 Update 2005: Poverty 26 Jan 2005 09.00 Update 2005: Weapons of Mass Destruction 26 Jan 2005 10.45 Update 2005: Equitable Globalization 26 Jan 2005 10.45 Update 2005: Europe 26 Jan 2005 10.45 Update 2005: Global Governance 26 Jan 2005 10.45 Update 2005: Middle East 26 Jan 2005 10.45 Update 2005: US Leadership 26 Jan 2005 10.45 Update 2005: World Trade 26 Jan 2005 13.00 Town Hall Meeting: Setting Priorities 26 Jan 2005 16.45 Special Message 26 Jan 2005 18.45 Special Address 26 Jan 2005 20.30 "Healthy" Priorities for the Media 26 Jan 2005 20.30 A New Market Prescription for New Drugs 26 Jan 2005 20.30 Blessed Are the (Non-Traditional) Peacemakers 26 Jan 2005 20.30 Cool in Asia 26 Jan 2005 20.30 Five Science Ideas to Change the World 26 Jan 2005 20.30 From Conflict to the Classroom 26 Jan 2005 20.30 Lest We Forget the Lessons of WWII 26 Jan 2005 20.30 Migration and Cultural Authenticity 26 Jan 2005 20.30 Nurturing Early Stage Investment in China 26 Jan 2005 20.30 Redefining Success 26 Jan 2005 20.30 The Price of Plug and Play 26 Jan 2005 20.30 To Travel or Not to Travel?
