I'm boycotting having to hear his voice.

It is the worst kind of mental pollution that can ever be bestowed on anyone with a brain.

If I can't get hold of the Mute button, I put my fingers in my ears and wait until the madness goes away.

I suggest everyone do that.

7. Living in TX, same here,.
I could not stand the smirker since he stole it from Ann Richards with his dirty pool. Then, he resembled his pop and AE Newman, no way! Had no clue he would be worse than his dad. I am now scared...

I've been muting or changing the channel since he was governor, too. I value my sanity!

Since * became govenor, the mute button has been identified as the "blank one" due to overuse.

Living down here means we get to see both the "Texas" shrub and the "trying to run with the big dogs" shrub...he gets this horribly fake twaaannnnnggggg when he is shown at his "ranch"..then as soon as they show him on the news anywhere else he talks with a more neutral accent---still STUPID, just twangless stupid....

6. Same with me, years
I turn the channel instantly whenever his image or voice is imminent. I use the "last chennel" button and call it the Bush Bounce. After last Tuesday I can't even watcha political show, even Olberman. Reaquainted with the History Channel, TV Land and wherever they're showing The Simpsons or King of the Hill.

8. Heh
You should see me in my car when I can't look down at my radio. A mere half second of Bush while I'm fumbling with the buttons is tooo much and I wind up PUNCH-PUNCH-PUNCHING with my fist until the station switches or it shuts off.

9. HA! Yeah, I've been doing that for a long time now.
If I cannot stop his voice in time, I mock his idiotic, twangy voice saying REALLY obscene things (many times referring to his sexual deviance and cocaine usage) very loudly until I can get to the source of the noise. :D

13. How can the left be the establishment when the RW runs everything?
I am so sick of seeing this bullshit argument. "You lost the election because you guys are big meanies who make fun of poor poor W and say mean things about Republicans too." There are many reasons why we lost the election, but this ain't it.

The Republicans run everything; how can people voting for Republicans be doing so as a vote against the "Leftist Establishment" when there IS NO "Leftist Establishment?" I repeat, the Republicans run everything. It's kind of hard to be victimized when you're in the majority and your party controls the White House, Senate, and Congress.

This is part of an overall effort to shut us up. We should be doing everything we can to be as loud, aggressive, and tenaciously prosecutorial as possible. We should make these people's lives MISERABLE on a nonstop basis. We should come after them relentlessly. These people have never been in our corner and never will be, and the argument that we have somehow alienated them is a crock of shit whose ultimate aim is to make us shut up and go away. FUCK THEM. Fuck them right in their stupid, stupid asses.

12. I blow a raspberry at every bumpersticker and lawn sign I pass
and pump my fist in the air for every Kerry/Edwards sticker and sign I see still up.

I've been boycotting most media these days. Just the occasional radio guy (Hannitty) and a snippet of cable news every once in a while. I invariably end up turning it off in disgust. I have become an avid NYT reader though. That and the local paper are my mainstays.

15. He has such a nasty, sneering voice.
And that's not even taking into consideration WHAT he's saying, which is often worse.

I can't take it for a minute. The debates required superhuman fortitude.

And I have been cured of my news junkie habit of keeping cable news on all day. Still cannot bring myself to turn the news on anymore and hear/see shrub and his smirk. It is a much more pleasant experience to come to this website and go to the breaking news forum!

it's okay that he mutes all commercials, but he goes nuts when I mute the chimp (which I've been doing for 4 years), saying that I'm over-reacting. Grrrrrr. And he's a good union-family Dem.

21. For me * exists only in print
I cannot stand to see or hear him. I have a very negative visceral reaction to his image and his voice.

Been this way since the 2000 campaign. His appeal is a mystery to me. A little like haggis - I know people eat it, I just don't know why.

25. Sometimes it's fun to see how much you can take before you
have to say," I am so shocked that he can get away with this, crummy slimy, lying bunch of propaganda".
Then I turn it off. I think I am always hoping for a resignation speech where he would the opportunity to just take his entire staff with him.
Now how can we make that happen?

him speak. He was telling Fidel Castro to hold free and fair elections.

I couldn't stop laughing all day at that one. But I usually turn the radio or TV off, the same way my parents did when Hitler's voice came on when I was a kid.

I am not the champ at hitting the mute button at the slight HINT that one of the reigning GOP asshole is going to open their pie-hole.

Keeps me sane -- gives me exercise.

Now I've just turned OFF the TV. The only use made of the TV screen is to play DVDs or videos -- but for that I've even switched to my flat screen computer monitor.

early on, i watched one of his campaign appearances, when he tried to explain the deficit, and kept getting trillions and billions and millions mixed up. I verified that i wasn't watching comedy central, and new we were in deep shit with a drooling moron running for resident. I have ot listened to anything he's said since (except the clips in F911)
