Hi folks. I remember Demopedia had beautifully documented pages that outlined the major contours of MIHOP and LIHOP. I was trying to locate them because I met this person who said I was crazy if I believed the US govt could kill their own. "Well," I retorted, "its the US govt which has gone crazy. I'll send you some links tomorrow," thinking i'll send her the demopedia pages. But I can't find them any more. fuck, i can't find DEMOPEDIA either!
Does anyone here know where those pages are? I ask because I am certain some of you must have contributed to that most excellent resource.

1. I can't find demopedia

I remember it, but I can't find it anywhere now. I found a link to it and it was expired. As far as the US government killing their own people, there was a plan rejected by JFK called Operation Northwoods where American citizens would be killed and blamed on Cuba. ".

Among their schemes:

Firebombing and sinking an American ship at the Guantanamo Bay American military base—
reminiscent of the USS Maine incident at Havana in 1898, which started the Spanish-
American War—or destroy American aircraft and blame it on Cuban forces. (The document's
first suggestion regarding the sinking of a U.S. ship is to blow up a manned ship and
hence would result in U.S. Navy members being killed, with a secondary suggestion of
possibly using unmanned drones and fake funerals instead.)
"Harassment of civil air, attacks on surface shipping and destruction of US military
drone aircraft by MIG type planes would be useful as complementary actions."
Destroying an unmanned drone masquerading as a commercial aircraft supposedly full of
"college students off on a holiday". This proposal was the one supported by the Joint
Chiefs of Staff.
Staging a "terror campaign", including the "real or simulated" sinking of Cuban refugees
"We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida
cities and even in Washington. The terror campaign could be pointed at Cuban refugees
seeking haven in the United States. We could sink a boatload of Cubans enroute to
Florida (real or simulated). We could foster attempts on lives of Cuban refugees in the
United States even to the extent of wounding in instances to be widely publicized."
Burning crops by dropping incendiary devices in Haiti, Dominican Republic or elsewhere.
According to James Bamford in Body of Secrets:

Operation Northwoods, which had the written approval of the Chairman and every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called for innocent people to be shot on American streets; for boats carrying refugees fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas; for a wave of violent terrorism to be launched in Washington, D.C., Miami, and elsewhere. People would be framed for bombings they did not commit; planes would be hijacked. Using phony evidence, all of it would be blamed on Castro, thus giving Lemnitzer and his cabal the excuse, as well as the public and international backing, they needed to launch their war.

This plan was REAL and had JFK OK'D it (say if he were someone like GWBush), it would have happened. and yet we are ridiculed & intimidated for discussing the possibility. Another interesting thing which happened more recently is the CIA handed out fliers to the Contras in Nicaragua which advised them to kill their own supporters and blame it on the enemy.

2. Gov't will never admit even the possibility of LIHOP.

Some people think that as more and more of the public become aware that the OCT is a fantasy, despite the strong efforts of OCT'ers, the government will one day realize that it would be smart to admit the possibility of LIHOP. But that will never happen.

The reason is simple. If the government admits even the possibility of LIHOP, it would be acknowledging that the "terrorists" had at least one insider at a very high level of the U.S. government that was complicit with the OBL gang. Such an admission would immediately raise questions about just how vulnerable the U.S. government was/still is to being overthrown. That could lead to calls for impeachment...or even calls for the imposition of martial law "until the war on insider traitors" is won.

9. Northwoods

As loony a plot as there ever was (never taken seriously)...involved fake incidents, were no one would be killed, despite what Wikipedia says.

From the rendezvous point the passenger-carrying aircraft will descend to minimum altitude and go directly into an auxiliary field at Elgin AFB where arrangements will have been made to evacuate the passengers and return the aircraft to its original status. The drone aircraft meanwhile will continue to fly the filed flight plan. When over Cuba the drone will be transmitting on the international distress frequency a "May Day" message stating he is under attack by Cuban MiG aircraft. The transmission will be interrupted by destruction of the aircraft, which will be triggered by radio signal. This will allow ICAO

They don't execute. GEN Lemnitzer was removed as C of the JC.

But then Kennedy was the one who pledged that we would never start a war
(June 10, 1963 address at the American University).

It was clearly taken seriously by the Pentagon: endorsed by all the highest

4. Here is a link I had saved...

and I just checked it so it still is working as of right now. It's related to PNAC however. Don't know if this can help but I hope so.
I have found many sites have just dissapeared. Important info that the public should be aware of. I suspect it has to do with what I heard a few months ago about the administration reclassifying information that had earlier been declassified.
Eventually there will be nothing left for anyone to use to uncover the crimes of this present mis-administration.

Apparently the server crashed, but it's back now. We are not maintaining it anymore, but it is still available.

Perhaps there just wasn't enough interest, it was too big a PITA to maintain or the admin decided to go in a different direction. You could write Skinner and ask.
