"Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman could be charged within weeks over a series of corruption allegations against him, Israel Police sources said on Wednesday.
Police earlier Wednesday questioned Lieberman under caution for the fifth time since he took office in April, as part of the ongoing corruption probe.
The questioning, which lasted approximately five and an half hours, was facilitated by the National Fraud Investigation Unit.
Sources involved in the investigation said that Lieberman's version of event as presented during the questioning did nothing to lessen the suspicions against him.
Police have said that material gathered in the probe thus far provides evidential basis for charges of money laundering, fraud and breach of trust against the foreign minister.
The investigation is expected to reach its conclusion over the next few weeks, at which point the finds will be transferred to the prosecution."
