5. Yes! They are Bertha and Ernie
Bertha is a 2008 Yaris (silver in color) and Ernie - Earnestine - is a royal metallic blue 2005 Corolla.

Even though Bertha gets better mileage, I usually drive Ernie to work. She's much more comfortable on the long commute.

Mrs. V. loves :loveya: driving Bertha.

I've had four cars, and they've all had names. Currently I drive a Jeep Wrangler called Millie (because she was a millennium baby)--name courtesy of another DUer. And ever since the driver's side door fell off and we reattached it with bolts, I also call her Frankencar.

She's seen better days. But she's still running!

54. Mine was a '72.
We had to put a piece of wood under the back seat because the battery fell through. The floorboards were so rusted that slush and rain would splash inside. The heater never worked.

But that car started every morning, even in 20 below weather, without a problem. It was a Beast. Beelzebug seemed to fit.

Old Mazda 4 door bought when the rich green was the popular color. Still going strong.

Also have my dad's 1993 Sedan deVille, Midnight blue with dark tinted windows and fake ragtop.

Known as "the Mafia Staff Car" or "The Pimpmobile" :hi:

BF's '94 periwinkle Caddy is "the Poofter" (british for powderpuff) because of the color.

His ancient non-running toyota is "the Shitbox". :D

47. my husband's cars seem to get names..first there was Ancient Behemoth
(a raggedy Crown Vic that had been his mom's and then his dad's car). This was followed by Behemoth, a younger Crown Vic that had been his mom's and then his dad's car. His next vehicle (and the current drive) is a Dodge Ram 15 passenger van with all the seats out except the front two, that he stores all his gear and stuff in when he goes to a wellsite.

It is white.
We call it the Whale, and sometimes Moby Dick.

>A large, 1969 Chevy Impala named "Impie Biggs." (Fans of Dorothy Sayers' mysteries will get that one.)

>A tiny 1978 Dodge Omni named "The Tuna Can"

>A gray 1990 Dodge Spirit named "The Grey Ghost"

My current car, a 1999 Toyota Avalon inherited from my stepfather with only 37,000 miles on it, does not have a name. For some reason, it has not called forth my imaginative naming powers.
