Anyone have an older Wittnauer watch? |
|
I just got delivery of one I bought onlune. 1940's gold case, stainles back, a rectangular "tank" watch. Wound and set it and it is keeping good time so far.
Don't know much about these other than they were Swiss movements and the company was in NYC.
Anybody have one or know something about them?
Thanks.

1. No, but I have an old Hamilton, 2 old Gruens and an old Omega |
|
Wittnauer is a good, quality watch from what I know of them. Don't wind it too far or you'll snap the mainspring (voice of experience).

2. I have an Omega, one of the old electro mechanical |

early battery watches-inherited it from my father in law, stopped working a few months after I got it.
Omega says they can repair it, but I believe I'll have to save up for the cost.
