I have some of the erotic poetry I wrote in college in some box up in the attic. Some short stories, typed for some very special men in mind (many of whom are dead now). The stories are written on corrasible bond paper which can be erased easily. But they have stood the test of time.

Unfortunately, none of it was ever published, much less sold and paid for by someone. So I moved on to advertising copywriting, which was more lucrative, and then on to radio.

But some night soon, I'll PM you something that might make your HAIR stand on end, Mister.

23. IT'S THE MASS MIND OF THE MANY ON THE INTERNET....

Very effective. Very impressive. (Just wish it were a bit safer... you know, no spam, no stalkers...)

In fact, during my radio years in Miami and Boston, when I was reaching approximately 60,000 individuals per quarter hour, (M-F 10am to 2pm) if you posed almost ANY question it was usually answered correctly by SOMEONE.

Many listeners were in their cars at the time. There were no cellphones. Radios in businesses were not common either.

So, we often got someone so motivated and knowledgeable, they would stop at a local telephone booth and call in to the show. I don't think we had assigned 800 numbers at the time, but I could be wrong about that. The reason is that I remember calling out the number 617-XXX-5900 (The AM station was at 590 mhz.) So the people even PAID for the calls!

It was -- and is -- really astounding. And helpful, too.
