Does anyone remember what this type of tape (the sticker tape with the lettering) and what the machine that makes it is called:

5. Beat me to it... probably by several hours. One of the recent movies
I saw had this kind of labels for its opening credits.

I couldn't remember the name then... but got it now!

Cordially,

Radio Lady

9. I think "Arrested Development" used the Dymo lettering
It seems to be very "retro" or something.

it looks really RETRO.

You should see the blouse I'm wearing tonight. I am actually LIVING in RETRO with so many recycled clothes in my closet!

4. The company that made the labler most known for it was Dymo
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 10:45 PM by Oeditpus Rex
Edited because Canuckistanian spelled it right, and I didn't wanna look stupid right below him.

Edited again because Canuckistanian spells his name "Canuckistanian," and I didn't wanna look stupid right below him after not looking stupid right below him.

12. I'm a really short woman. Are you possible a tall man?
Then, this dirty but probably acceptable little ode might help!

"When they're nose to nose, his toes are in it
When they're toes to toes, his nose is in it..."

That is all.

Cordially,

The Randy Old Lady from Oregon who practially invented RADIO

21. Shush... don't tell the mods...
I have some of the erotic poetry I wrote in college in some box up in the attic. Some short stories, typed for some very special men in mind (many of whom are dead now). The stories are written on corrasible bond paper which can be erased easily. But they have stood the test of time.

Unfortunately, none of it was ever published, much less sold and paid for by someone. So I moved on to advertising copywriting, which was more lucrative, and then on to radio.

But some night soon, I'll PM you something that might make your HAIR stand on end, Mister.

All from the restless mind of a 68 year old happily married woman...

who has never been to Ottawa, Canada. Should I oughtawanta go there sometime?

Cordially,

Radio Lady in OREGON

23. IT'S THE MASS MIND OF THE MANY ON THE INTERNET....
Very effective. Very impressive. (Just wish it were a bit safer... you know, no spam, no stalkers...)

In fact, during my radio years in Miami and Boston, when I was reaching approximately 60,000 individuals per quarter hour, (M-F 10am to 2pm) if you posed almost ANY question it was usually answered correctly by SOMEONE.

Many listeners were in their cars at the time. There were no cellphones. Radios in businesses were not common either.

So, we often got someone so motivated and knowledgeable, they would stop at a local telephone booth and call in to the show. I don't think we had assigned 800 numbers at the time, but I could be wrong about that. The reason is that I remember calling out the number 617-XXX-5900 (The AM station was at 590 mhz.) So the people even PAID for the calls!

It was -- and is -- really astounding. And helpful, too.

Good night and good luck!
