1. It's a game. A card game, I think. The ladies at my church in Chicago
played it all the time. They talked about it a lot, but I never actually witnessed a game.

2. It's a dice game. 12 people rotate hosting it once a month at their homes.
You have three tables of four each with dice and roll 1s, 2s, 3s, etc. If you get three of a kind of the number you are rolling, that's a Bunko.

It's honestly really easy and just an opportunity for (at least in my case) friends to get together to chat without their spouses or kids. It's harmless.

5. One of the most boring things ever invented

I've had to attend a couple of games as they were part of my wifes office Xmas party. I'm sure it's quite thrilling if you're into completely random games of chance. :eyes: Give me Texas Hold'em any day.

6. I love playing that game, but the real attraction is the people
with whom I play. Funny, funny people that I have an absolute blast with.

8. Yup. The game is secondary. It's the camaraderie.

9. It's also very old street slang for a con game.
Lots of police departments used to call their fraud divisions the "bunko squad." Mostly they cracked down on street hustlers and grifters rather than, say, Ponzi schemes where the real money was.

11. My Canadian women friends play it. It's an excuse to drink.
It's a girls' night out and apparently an excuse to drink a lot of Moosehead.

13. That's a division of the police department ...
in change of apprehending con men.
