1. Isn't fish too flakey?
or did you have shrimp (yum) and crab (double yum!)?

2. What kind of fish?
I could seriously see a number of good cuts of fish going the fondue way.

Man, swordfish...

21. the best haddock I ever had
was in a little restaurant in Manchester NH called the Lobster Pot or something like that. On Daniel Webster highway. I never forgot it. The best fried fish ever. But I've never tried your mama's.

22. She does it up good...
I can't describe it really, but the woman can cook up some serious fish fry.

And, I more than appreciate her cooking now. She was diagnosed with ALS in July, and I've been trying to collect her recipes while she can still write, as she is no longer able to speak. Gotta keep the family traditions alive, I guess. :)

5. OK
Given the survival table of fish species A:
Larval: 0.06
Fry: 0.12
Fingerling: 0.13
Year 1: 0.35
Year 2: 0.58
Year 3: 0.87
Year 4: 0.62
Year 5: 0.17

And a fecundity of:
Larval: 0
Fry: 0
Fingerling: 0
Year 1: 2-30 eggs
Year 2: 2-10,000 eggs
Year 3: 2-13,000 eggs
Year 4: 2-8,000 eggs
Year 5: 2-500 eggs

Beginning with a male-female fertile pair of year 2 fish, how many fish should you expect to have in the population at the end of 10 years? Give your answer as a confidence interval range.

16. It is actually
just what they call a fish soup

It simmers in a fondue pot at your table after they cook it.

rice and vermicelli in your bowl, soup on top
