I just finished reading it. It's amazing what a moving book she was able to create with such simple black-and-white drawings.
The picture of the little 7-year-old girl pretending to be Che Guevara = :rofl:

What a unique book. Such an interesting look into a slice of Iranian life.
I recall that she loved the song "Kids in America" when she was a young teen ... Funny the random things that stick in your head from books.

I love her drawings. I heard someone had made a movie of the books, too, but don't know if it's been released.
Epileptic, by David B. is also great. same style. - l'association- a group of graphic novelists in France.
