why am i (again) arguing the law with people who have no clue what the law actually says? i do this all the time in here. i get in these discussions about legal issues with people who have no idea what the hell they're talking about, and i let myself get all worked up over it.

how can you claim to be so in love with the First Amendment when you have no frakking idea of what the First Amendment acutally does and does not permit? if you have no clue what a contract even is, how can you be so adamantly opposed to them? if you don't know jack shit about election law, don't jump up and down about how stupid election law is!

bring in the love, push out the jive.

I've been there. I think in the heat of the moment, the idiots get to me and in hindsight I rethink how I should have handled it better. Not about law, mind you.

i tell myself...there's very clear legal arguments directly on point, if i just explain it a little better, if i just respond one more time...

it always takes me too long to figure out that they don't care that the law says the exact opposite of what their point is.
