Every time I hear someone say "worsh" or "Worshington" I start to crack up.

Cuz I think some might. And it might be me. I don't hear it when I'm talking but I've occasionally been corrected (much to my dismay) that I'm saying warsh instead of wash. Who'd a thunk it?

I wish our state would be re-named and given a long, confusing Native American name! Then no one would pronounce it correctly!

In the rural areas say... Worshington Lou-a vull (slurred together) for Loiusville Mizz-oo-rah- same slur for Missouri People all over the state think we are neighbors with Ell-in-noi (Illinois) and drink Melk (milk) Those two in particular drive me insane!
