it's pretty crappy for legal research, but then, if you're not paying for it, you're not getting good legal research.
does anyone have any experience with Google Scholar? Is it better for certain topics/areas of study?

1. I used it for my bachelor thesis |

I agree its a little crappy, not all articles are available for download. But sometimes you can find what you look.

3. Another satisfied customer here. My neighbor was holding his kids hostage... |

...and I used GoogleScholar to find professional articles on how to talk down violent sociopaths.
Thanks, GoogleScholar, you're a life saver... literally!

4. I've used it. It can be okay for finding stuff that you already know exists |
|
maybe once or twice I've found links to full text articles in obscure journals that my library didn't have full text. It can also be faster than Social Science Citation index for finding out new articles that cited a classic (because if you put in the cite from the old article, it returns new ones that referenced it). It's also faster than the library databases if I just want to double check the year something was published.
