Gnobody gnows where the gnome goes

Mr. and Mrs. Roswell P. Mothersell take pride in the landscape and gardens of their home in the Town of Hounsfield, next door to Wescott Beach State Park. Until recently the statuary included twin garden gnomes illuminating the entrance to their driveway with electric lanterns from atop a pair of stone pillars.
Sometime between 8:30 p.m. August 21st and 3:30 p.m. August 22nd a thief, or thieves, made off with one of the gnomes.
Probably more than one person was involved since the gnome weighed about 120 lbs, was hardwired to the pillar and cemented in place.
A very upset Mr. Mothersell decided it would be best to remove the missing gnome’s twin before he too came up missing. Now the little guy resides in storage shed along with two other lawn gnomes put there for safekeeping.
