Very unusual.

I suspect that the biggest group will be brown, with a lesser number of blue and one or two each for hazel and grey.

Tell me where they are common because I have no idea. My sister has hazel. My Dad's mother and brother have grey eyes. My Dad, maternal grandmother and I have blue.

P.S.
I have been looking around google image for people with green eyes. There must be more of a range of color than I thought there was. I was under the impression green meant this:

Apparently there are darker and less uniform varieties too. Maybe I am a little color blind, but most of those variants look like brown or hazel with just a hint of green to me.

Green eyes run in my family so I don't see them as being all that rare. I can also name six of my coworkers who have green eyes. The one I have the hardest time finding is grey.

look for the one that says "steel blue-gray"..that's my eye color. Sometimes it's dark grey, sometimes you could see a hint of blue on a bright day, depending on my mood, but they're gray most of the time. I was told by several guys how scary my eyes looked. It's not often you see someone with gray eyes. I am the only one in my family, the rest of my family...blue eyes. My half sister's husband had gray eyes just like mine and their son, too (my nephew) then much later I learned that I am related to him. She doesn't know it yet because she divorced him so I just haven't told her. She is my Dad's daughter by his second wife and her husband is related to me on my mother's side.

When I wear a blue shirt, my eyes appear blue. A black shirt makes them appear dark grey. Brown brings out flecks of brown, making my eyes appear more hazel.

At the end of the day, my eyes are red.

I wouldn't be surprised if the percentage is higher in the US and Canada, where the majority of the posters on this forum are from.

I know quite a number of green-eyed people (and no, they aren't related.) Most of them have an Irish or Scottish background-interesting since the only group that is larger in the US is of German descent.

In some countries there are probably very few green-eyed people but in the US and Canada it's not all that uncommon. You also have to take into consideration the combinations of eye colors. (blue-green, hazel can appear more green at times, etc.) Those also factor into the list.

And yes, I know statistically they're extraordinarily rare, but they're definitely green. Kind of a dark olive green flecked with brown and gold, so there's no chance I'm mistaking them for blue.
