Here I am, holding up my brand-spanking-new WVU Student ID card. Today was a loooong day. We were up at 6:00 am, and had to be at the MountainLair at 7:45 am to check-in and have some breakfast. I spent the day touring campus, attending numerous lectures about the different services, programs, and activities offered at WVU, then meeting with my student advisor after lunch to register for Fall classes. We got caught in no less than *two* downpours in the process, I made some fellow-student friends, and had a great time all around. I'm exhausted, though. ThinkBlue1966 went with me, and she's already in full, sound-asleep nap mode.
I'm planning on changing my schedule a bit on the 1st of August, when the online class registration center opens up. Until then, I'm registered for:
Sociology 101
Psychology 101
Environmental Geography 110
Environmental Geography Lab 111
Political Science 102 (Introduction to American Politics)
Political Science 199 (Orientation to Political Science)
Political Science 260 (Introduction to International Affairs)
For a grand total of 17 credit hours this coming semester. (The Geog Lab and Poli-Sci Orientation courses are only worth 1 credit hour each)
I'm going to see if I can switch to State and Local Government in place of International Affairs, and get different time slots for a couple of the other classes. They don't allow first-time Freshman to take English 101 during their first semester--I'm not sure why. I also have to take a Math Placement Exam in August, so we'll know which math course I'll need to take.
I am a tired, but HAPPY, little tiger. Let's GOOOOOO Mountaineers!
