I saw Roger Waters last night - amazing amazing concert!!!
For those who don't know who Roger Waters is, he's one of the founding members of Pink Floyd (he was the bassist).
He did all the classic Pink Floyd songs, complete "Dark Side of the Moon" and a new song he wrote that was basically a giant size fuck you to Bush & Blair.
When the Pig came out (when he played Sheep) - on the ass of the pig was "Impeach Bush"
What a great show. I knew the guy was against the war but wow!
pretty much all his music w/ floyd has a leftist theme if you read into the lyrics, even DSotM - check out 'Amused to Death' which is his best work, IMHO.
11. You know how good it was - I'm going again tonight
My friend had to fly out to Colorado (the one that went with me last night). As a curorisity I put in for a single ticket on the floor to see what I could get - I got section 1 at the Wach - right up front by the stage (10th row). Usually there are a variety of single tickets available and I figured why not.
I can't believe I'm going again by myself - but what the fuck, you only live once. I am wearing 4 inch heels just so I can see over everyone!
8. I so want to get tickets again for tonights show
I don't care if I go by myself - I just loved that concert. When he did Dark Side at the very end he had this giant prism with the light beaming into it and the colors coming out (like the cover) and it was spinning so everyone was getting hit with the lights
13. I haven't seen him since "The Pros and Cons of Hitch hiking" tour
He was really good then and one of the first shows I saw in quadraphonic. I almost went last year, but the woman who invited me flipped out and I said "see ya".
