I hate hate hate the phrase "ramp up." Hate it. So please, just for me, try to use it as often as possible today. I think that it'll help me get over my disgust at this artificial boo-yah pseudomilitary testosteronism. Thank you for your support.

4. I've discovered perhaps the one acceptable use of the phrase
"I'd like to shove a big, fat ramp up (insert name of political figure) 's (insert name of orifice) ."

6. Why do you hate America?
"Ramp up" is as popular a phrase among the never-been-in-combat crowd as "on the ground." Observe: "The Pentagon has been ramping up efforts to get embedded journalists on the ground to document the Iraqis' gratitude for our unprovoked invasion." Be the first kid on your block to use the phrase(s) in conversation today!
