5. now that's just wrong
Mystic River is the best movie, ever!

You're entitled to your opinion, but I just have to say that I don't agree with that.

If only they had stopped filming after the street scene with Bacon and Penn...

21. It was thought provoking
That's what I liked about it. How long does one tragic incident have to cause suffering for those involved? Is it justice if the victim wouldn't have wanted the offender to be punished? All that stuff. I liked it for that, but it was also a bit contrived, to me, which I didn't like.

23. Uh Oh.....I disagree totally.
Very, very thought provoking....I think it was Eastwood's best. Better than Unforgiven, which I thought wasn't all that good.

7. One of my favorites
That's the best movie I've seen in years. I don't get the problem with it at all.

9. one of my favorites too.
I usually don't like most movies others like. I hated "spiderman 2" for example.

19. I laughed through that
I felt so bad because we had a friend over and he likes those kind of movies. But I couldn't help it, that multi-armed creature was just preposterous and it was all downhill from there.

14. Where to start?
It was corny, stereo-typed, miscast, mis-directed (particularly Zellwegger) and miserable.

27. Wow, that's a tough question
There's a lot of movies I like, since watching movies is one of my favorite things and if you ask me for my personal top ten I'd give you a different answer everytime you asked. So that's a tough question. I guess the first few recent movies that spring to mind would be "The Big Lebowski" "The Virgin Suicides", "LA Confidential", "Unforgiven","Drowning by Numbers" and "Amelie"

Inappropriately cast.

28. Hell!
Kidman was the only decent thing in the movie. As always she was a visual marvel.

Other than that the movie sucked so bad that I still don't know how it came out. For me to enjoy a movie there has to be at least one character that I like.

16. Was that the shitty Civil War movie, or the shitty Ron Howard movie?
I can never keep the names of those two movies straight, and I don't know why, since they aren't similar.

18. The book was quite good, up until
the final chapter. There was no credibility whatsoever to that.

I didn't see the movie because, based on the previews I saw, Zellweger and Kidman were totally miscast, and I didn't really think it would translate all that well to film. So I passed on it.

22. Have you seen the drek that is Sideways?
It blew more than a hurrican force wind.

Oy vey! I have never fidgeted so much during a movie. I was so bored and did not care about any of the characters.

Even though I think he's a hottie. Philip Seymour Hoffman was good, though.

26. Have to disagree -
- as I thought the movie excellent. The book was better (as they most always are) but the music alone made up for what the movie lacked. "Scarlet Tide" was absolutely beautiful . . .

Then again, there was also the shaped-note singing. It obviously takes some getting used to.
