I gotta take my two kitties to be fixed today...*squall*
...they've been fasting since midnight and both are miserable and are beggin' me for food and water this morning...I've gotta leave 'em without anything to eat or drink to go to the vet's to get a pet carrier...then come back and lock 'em in a damn CAGE and traumatize 'em takin' 'em out of the only home they've known since I saved 'em from the elements and starvation....I HATE HAVING TO DO THIS TO THEM....please reassure me that it's all for the best?! x(
you wont regret it. Better to go hungry for a little while then have a bunch of kittens you may not be able to give away to decent homes. Hang in there, all will be fine this evening
...can't pick 'em up til in the morning....I asked them up front if they could come home this afternoon and wake up at home but they said NO...because they have to make sure they're doing okay...but I seriously doubt they have somebody there all night to watch them...that's what bothers me the most really....:(
3. It is all for the best. You are doing a great thing for them.
You saved them, and now you're saving others. I hated taking my baby Jessie in, and then when you get them back and their all konked out...you'll feel worse. But they will be no worse for wear.
.....I'm just a worried momma...they're my babies and I'm gonna be beside m'self tonight without them here...knowin' they're locked in cages and thinkin' they've been thrown away again.
9. we have one kitty we cant catch to get fixed(she remains indoors)
i dont know how my sister got her here to begin with but since she has been here she wont let anybody near her and she needs to be fixed. she is an indoor kitty so she wont get pregnant because the male kitty is fixed and the third kitty is also a female(fixed). it is ((HELL)) when she is in heat, she howls and wont leave the fixed boy kitty alone. do you know the repercussions of not getting a cat fixed (besides pregnancy)? I suppose we should figure out a way to capture her and get her to the vet.
10. They won't like the experience, but will get over it.
Cats don't tend to brood over "what might have been!"
Supply them with food, drink, a pleasant place to live & some affection--they'll be happy. (Unless they're demon biting cats from hell--but you'd know that by now.)
I just got my cat and the local feral fixed. Mine didn't give a damn, and the local feral seemed alright with it too. They both are happy, and the feral has decided to move in with me. Must be okay.
12. Nah let em breed and have 46,000 descendants within the next 10 years like
OTHER people do!!!! WAY better, lol.
Trust me, 1 day of mild discomfort is far better than the population explosion and slaughter and misery and deaths the rest of their descendants would face otherwise.
