2. Is it worth owning like Bowling? |
|
I am aware of the bunny incident and the part where a black guy gets shot, I can always skip those parts if I don't want to see them but how about the rest of the movie? worth owning der pal?

It's not quite as good as "Bowling", but the story is just so sad...

3. So, what did you think? |
|
Flint is my hometown. The movie especially had meaning for me, because of that, and my father worked (still does, miraculously) for GM.

It put a truly human face on the actions of GM. Sad...

that the situation that R&M portrayed is a big part of why I'm a liberal and a progressive. I don't see how anyone could have grown up around that and not be.
I've been a huge fan of Moore's since that movie.

8. How many people in Flint still have jobs at GM? |
|
I grew up in another big GM town, where GM Lordstown and Packard Electric were located. The Packard (now Delphi) employment is way down and the Lordstown van plant is gone.

They closed down Buick City a few years ago, and that was thousands of jobs. It's weird to see miles of factory gone. I think there may still be a few plants operating, but not nearly as many as there were in my early childhood.
