Is Murta coming through the back door setting up for
increased military spending and maybe the draft? I don't want to be a downer, coz I'm really enjoying his kicking ass, but my radar is going up.

Flame me if you must. But keep in mind, I support him fully...so far.

2. I don't think so.
He knows that the draft would never pass Congress. I think he sees leaving Iraq as the best way to save a military crumbling under demands that it can't handle.

I so appreciate the people here who are so much smarter about this stuff than I am. I take one of my ideas and run with it and soon it becomes real in my head. DU rocks.

you can't have both. If you want to stay the course, you can't cut the military monetarily or as far as troops.
