I think Americans are getting a little tired of this being the bottom-line
defense of Bushco policies. I least I hope so. The simple-mindedness
of that statement would embarass a kindergartener.

1. But Bush is a terrorist. (He certainly terrorizes me.)
So if I don't support a terrorist, I'm pro-terrorist?

Damn, that's confusing.

6. Creepy. It's easy to forget....
that simple-mindedness works with a lot of people, those who prefer to
get swept up in a tide of group feeling where they don't have to think.

3. OK, I'm "pro-terrorist" then! Yay! :)
Seriously, it seems to me that supporting Bush is what's pro-terrorist... after all, he's done more to feed the ranks of terrorist groups than any other person on the planet.

4. They desperately hope some fool believes them and...
blows up a Wal-Mart or something. That would just give them the excuse to start their planned police state. Not gonna happen.

8. All true except for the "don't"
I thought it was clear from the get-go (back in 1999 or so) that Bush and his henchpeople were casting around for a cold war replacement. They tried it with rogue nations, and were having a hard time selling it, when wonder of wonders, along came 9/11 and a new lucrative power-consolidating 50-year engagement with a fuzzy enemy. I find it hard to imagine that his policies, which have vastly increased the terrorist threat worldwide, are just misguided. That increase is precisely according to plan.

Bush needs terrorists for survival. Support him, and you support them.

This is great. Welcome to DU.

It was not clear to me that Bushco was looking to revive the Cold War
from the start, but I don't know why. Your post here sums things up
brilliantly.

Sadly, while demonizing our "fuzzy enemy" we are rapidly creating real
enemies where we had none before.

10. my new rant. that repugs allow this to be said about the other side
and no one stands up and speaks out. shame on those repugs. shame on my brothers and father and in laws that allow their party to say these things

now dems are pro terrorist. is there not ONE repug that will stand up to my defense. is there not one that will defend me against their own party

they all sit in shame as they allow their party to continue on this path, saying i am not christian, i am unamerican, i am not a patriot, and now i am pro terrorist. forget about the people saying this, shame on the people that stay silent and do nothing to stop this before

in their silence, they allow their people to say these things

shame on them
