How to settle the issue of "Intelligent Design/ Creationism"
Since medical science depends largely on the Theory of Evolution, everyone who follows Evolution should continue seeing a doctor for ailments, illness and medical emergencies.

Everyone who follows "Intelligent Design/ Creationism" should have their pastor heal them through faith.

In due time the issue will be settled.

3. Would that mean they would
need to add a new category to the Darwin Awards?

7. Very unfortunate but...
From one point of view that is survival of the fittest.

And from another... If everyone could be saved Noah would have to have built his ark to bigger or built more than one ark.

8. But the problem is that:
public health also depends on the TOE, and public health has a lot more to do with whether members of a community live or die than do personal health services. Thus, Creationists and ID-Creationists are "free riders."

10. I saw this in the science forum, seems appropriate
A man has a massive heart attack while driving his car and totals it. A witness calls 911 on the cellphone and an ambulance and fire truck arrives on the scene in minutes. The firemen, who have gone through extensive training in emergency rescue, carefully extract him from the wreck and EMT's who have undergone extensive training arrive and treat the man with modern medical equipment and load him into the ambulance.

They get him to the hospital and he's still not responsive, so he's whisked into emergency surgery, where a surgeon who went through 10 years of higher education performs the latest delicate heart surgery that medical researchers perfected after countless thousands of man hours. The revive him, and even more state-of-the-art medical equipment is used to stabilize his vital signs. After a few days of round-the-clock obersvation and medical care, he is released from the hospital as good as new.

As the story makes its rounds around the neighborhood, everyone comes to the same conclusion...

"I guess it goes to show how the power of prayer can work miracles".

"I hate how we treat you sometimes, but if we played fair, you'd beat us every time" -

13. I love it!!! I had a fundie sister in law
who would borrow money from everyone and their brother.
Every time she received a hand out she would praise the Lord for his goodness. As you handed here the money she would be saying "Thank you God for your kindness, I am not Worthy, but you have again shown me kindness". She never thanked the person handing her the money.
It use to piss me off.

11. Since Western Medicine Is A Leading Cause Of DEATH... Go Right Ahead
this thread illustrates the erroneous and totally biased view DU'ers have of Science and Medicine.

14. Yes, of course! All those dead people
went to the doctor in good health and subsequently died.

:eyes:

Do medical accidents happen? Yes. Do people get misdiagnosed and occasionally get improperly treated? Yes. Is this " A Leading Cause Of DEATH"? Hell no!!!

12. Intelligent Design is not a science. It's a "notion".
It could not be taught as a subject in school because there is no
body of information, no science, no experiments, no factual history, nothing. All the ID supporters can do is to say that's how it all happened. Once they've uttered their sentence, or paragraph at the most, thats it. Nothing else to say. How damn ludicrous.
