How will a Democratic White House handle the Iraq mess?

The prevailing idea seems to be to involve the UN in Iraq. This isn't going to stop attacks on occupation forces, merely spread the death count and the cost of the war around a little.

The other notion, pulling completely out of Iraq, seems irresponsible considering America is responsible for the situation. Can we look to the pullout of Vietnam for answers?

*sigh*...I guess that's why it's called a quagmire. What do you think?

4. Pluralism

Bring in a ton of different countries and force that culture to adept to the entire world at once. It seems crazy but it forces the people to recognize that the entire world is now involved in your country. People tend to at least TRY to get along when it isn't A vs B but happens to be A vs. WORLD.

3. Simple, I said this from the beginning

Bring in the UN for governing, NATO for security. It's that simple. It's been done before. The only problem is the oil.

Except that non-NATO troops would be good too.
Turks are the only Muslim members of NATO, so it would
help to have other Arab states on the ground to provide
security that won't piss of the Iraqis.

Something I don't particularly want to do but hey if a few words means their support then it's probably worth it. We'll get the UN to takeover most of it from there, probably have to break the tradition of not criticizing previous presidents and tell them we are sorry that Bush was such a moron.

10. They will change the wording of the press briefings

They will make more of an effort to explain the implementation of the PNAC strategies in gentler, friendlier language, and do more photo ops.
